Someone beautiful told me that in Chinese astrology which I’m not well versed in, they say to not clean your home on the New Year Day- which is today I believe: the year of the fire horse begins.

For me- (and this is not to disrespect any lineages or traditions) the irony is that I don’t believe in bad karma… I don’t believe in bad luck, or fatalistic interpretations. Because I believe we are in charge of our own destinies. And if you’ve ever sat in session with me, you’ll hear me speak of astrology as a tool and a guide- a very bloody good one, but ultimately you yourself- your intuition- your tuning inwards, is your ultimate guide.

So for me, today’s ritual before the peak of the eclipse new moon is to literally clean my home as it felt stagnant and yuck. I don’t believe I’m sweeping away my good fortune by doing this because I’m in charge of my own actions that create fortune or not. That’s just me but :)

To me, ritual doesn’t always look like sitting cross legged and chanting om, pulling tarot and talking to spirit. The human life is where we live. Clear the old in your life to make space for the new.

A powerful Annular Solar Eclipse in Aquarius is about to peak… a sign symbolised by two zigzag lines that look like lightning, and when you layer that with Uranus activated in this lunation, you can feel the double current of electricity running through it.

Add to that the beginning of the Fire Horse year and a numerological 1 year and suddenly this isn’t subtle energy.

It’s ignition energy.
It’s initiation energy.

They move through conversations, through courage, through the decisions you make when no one is watching, through a feeling you make someone feel. They shape timelines. They alter trajectories. They build realities.

And here’s the deeper truth… you are ALWAYS generating a field. You are always amplifying something.

This is just a time of potency activation.

When you are grounded in alignment, the ripples you create becomes expansion. When you are operating from fear or misalignment, that too gains momentum

Electricity magnifies.

This eclipse feels like a lightning rod moment- a cosmic resrt and a reminder that you are not here to dim your voltage to keep others comfortable, but to consciously direct it toward what you want to build, create and become.
Less consuming, more creating INTENTIONALLY.

This is a beginning that asks you to choose your current wisely.

I’ve decided I’m going to share my naked truths more often …
This one is about how astrology has completely transformed the way I move through life.

Before I understood my cosmic blueprint, I battled life. When life didn’t go the way it was “meant to” on paper, it felt like failure after failure. I felt compelled to “fix” these “mistakes” and refused to accept the parts of myself that didn’t fit in with the conditioned societal ways.

Only once I began tracking cycles… my own transits… the repeating themes… I couldn’t unsee it.

There is a rhythm to this life.

There are seasons… cycles.
There are initiations.
There are contractions before expansion.

And when you start to see that, something inside you softens.

Life has become, for me, a symphony of synchronicities (like that one?)

The unseen doesn’t feel abstract to me anymore. It feels participatory. Meaning this: the unseen is part of being. And I attract in those synchronicities purely from my state of deep deep trust.

Do spanners still get thrown? Of course!
But now instead of gripping and trying to control, I ask:  What cycle is this? What is being unlearnt or restructured or transmuted? What part of me is upgrading?

Astrology didn’t make my life perfect by any stretch. But it did make it coherent. It made it make sense.

It gave me language for what I was already feeling.
 It gave me permission to trust what I knew already deep down to be true.
 It gave me evidence that I am always on time (even if sometimes I battle with accepting this part)

But this why I’m so passionate about sharing astrology with you all…

Not to predict, not to control life…. But to empower YOU.

Because when you understand your own cosmic wiring, astrology stops being something “out there” and becomes a mirror.

A tool that hands you back your agency.

SPACE

It feels like such a deep exhale when I hear this word.

Maybe it’s the projector in me, or the Pisces moon sensitive side, but SPACE feels like a whole body yes.

Yesterday in yoga, I spoke about the state we create when we’re in urgency. When we’re rushing from A to B even in the most mundane tasks, it creates a literal state of stress in your body.

I remember when I studied my certificates in fitness almost 20 years ago now, I learnt about the eugenics of stress. Sometimes I think urgency culture is a modern, socially acceptable version of eugenics which isn’t through genetics, but rather through stress tolerance.

The last New Moon asked us to get clear on what can be sustained, and to claim that. The astrological shifts we are in will feel like time is speeding up, and the metaphoric fire horse will take you whether you’re ready or not.

But this doesn’t have to equate with stress.

Can you do the thing, with ease?
The smallest of tasks, brushing your teeth, mindfully. Taking out the rubbish, mindfully. Buckling in your child to their seat, mindfully (maybe a little iss and ILY along the way)

Maybe we’re not wired to live a completely slow sloth existence. But I know with certainty we have equated chaos, busy life and rushing with success, and in our bodies, with stress. And you don’t have to tolerate that.

It’s just not sustainable.

This is late degree Capricorn: 28 degrees to be exact so we’re not starting from zero. We’re not wiping the slate clean. We’re claiming something we’ve been circling for a while. Something we’ve tested. Something we know, in our bones that we can no longer approach halfway.

We’re closing the chapter on the Year of the Snake and stepping into the Year of the Horse, and the Horse does not wait for permission.

The Snake taught us to shed.
To release skins that no longer fit.
To sit in the discomfort of endings, truth revelations and deep inner excavations.

And yes… we’re still shedding.
We forget that healing doesn’t run on a calendar. Don’t rush the process just because the year changed.

But here’s the key: after you clear, you must infuse.
 Empty space is sacred but it must be filled with intention. Otherwise we become directionless again and wonder in years to come “how are we back here again!?”

The Horse brings momentum, movement and inevitability. It will take you forward whether you feel ready or not.

2026 is not the year to be asleep at the reins (so to speak). This is the year to choose consciously how you move forward.

Be intentional with your energy.
 Be intentional with your spending - money is stored energy.
 Be intentional with your guides. Who and what you allow to influence you matters.
 Be intentional with your wisdom. Knowledge unused is power wasted.

2026 and 2027 are pivotal consciousness shift years… collective awakenings. Personal reckonings… it will be an acceleration of time and timelines.

What you align with now determines how you experience what’s coming.

Move with awareness and integrity… like you know your spirit is being asked to level up.

So ask yourself, are you riding with intention or being dragged by habit?

How do you handle unexpected news?

For most, I guess it depends on the “news” right?

You’re not always going to “trust” and “cruise” through every plot twist, but you can work on embodying trust and surrender with other unexpected moments eg traffic delay, cancelled event, rejection etc.

How does that feel?

Uranus and Mercury Retrograde stirring things up today. BUT Venus is trine the north node so my inkling is that the “news” is going to be much much more welcomed than you think!
